Ok people. It is TOO quiet. Hopefully that means you are busy writing. What is on your front burner this month?
Me: Still working on "Daniel" a novella of short vignettes. Also working on submitting work for publication/collecting rejections.

Re: It is June: What's cookin'?
Fri, June 1, 2007 - 8:29 PMWow. It's June already! I just got back from 10 days in China. I totally lost track of time!
My agent is still pitching my tea book. I've got some queries out to magazines for some non-fiction articles. I've written almost NOTHING on my novel and it is driving me batty. Maybe I'll go write right now!

Re: It is June: What's cookin'?
Sat, June 2, 2007 - 6:56 PM1. Last week I got the edits for Covenant, so I've been going over those.
2. I discovered (two days before the deadline) an anthology call for submissions that accepts previously-published work. Its theme fits a previously-published story of mine, which I quickly retyped because I'd originally typed it in Scripsit on an 8-inch floppy disk 20+ years ago. Makes me very glad I'm a fast typist. :)
3. Work on Books #5 and #6 in my series.
4. Finalizing an essay for submission -- the deadline's been extended, so that's not a particularly high priority. On the other hand, if I zap it off I don't have to think about it.
Currently in submission: 1 creative nonfiction piece, 3 short stories, and 4 poems, to a total of 6 publications.
Forthcoming: 1 novel, 1 article, 2 poems, and 4 pieces of artwork.
Not sure if I've plugged this here yet, but my photo of beach sunflowers appeared (with attribution) on the This Old House website, on the last page of its article, "Going Native in the Garden," at

Movin' right along...
